Why I'm Running
The 25th district has always been my home. Growing up on Columbus’s Westside in the 1970s was a great experience. The values I have learned growing up in this pragmatic community provided me with a foundation that emphasized personal responsibility, self reliance, and compassion.
These values have served me well. Living in this district gives me an understanding of the needs, concerns and issues facing my hardworking neighbors as well as all Ohioans; issues such as:- Budget Deficits
- Job Loss
- Foreclosures
- Educational Funding

- Health Care
Many of these issues have remained unresolved for years, preventing Ohio from reaching its’ full potential as a Midwest powerhouse.
Feeling the need to increase my involvement in the political process, I joined my fellow neighbors in 2004 to establish Midtown South for Progress, a grassroots organization that has worked to elect many democratic officials in all levels of government. In 2006 I became the Central Committeeman for Columbus’s Ward 2.
I am seeking the position of State Representative for the 25th district to continue this work and to bring my thirty years of private sector experience in the financial industry to the legislature.
My professional experience has taught me that the best way to find creative and innovative solutions is to consider and evaluate all options, regardless of who brings the idea to the table. We have found that the “business as usual” approach and partisan politics are not effective or serving the citizens of Ohio.
To sum up; as a State Representative, I will work to solve the core issues facing every Ohioan in these tough times. Having lived in this district my entire life, I will bring a sense of understanding and perspective to this office.
